Books
Adult fiction, adult non-fiction, and children's books may be
checked out for a period of two weeks. A charge of 20
cents per day applies to all overdue books.
Magazines
Over two dozen popular magazines are available in a rack near the
front desk. These cannot be checked out of the library.
Back issues are kept for 1 to 3 years.
DVDs and Audio Tapes
DVDs can be checked out for two weeks, audio tapes for two weeks.
Overdue charges are one dollar per day for DVDs, 20 cents per day
for audio.
Computers
There are six computers with Internet access available to library
patrons. You must sign a computer consent form and have a
library card.
Office Machines
There is a copy machine (20 cents per copy, b/w only) for use by
library patrons. There is not a public-use fax machine at
this time.
Newspaper Archives
The library maintains an archive of local newspapers, some dating
back to 1887. These records are on hard drive cannot be checked
out.
Residents living in the city limits of
Forrest City are eligible for library cards free of charge.
Residents living out of the city limits are required to pay a yearly
user fee of $15.00. This fee allows anyone living at that
residence to get a card. A state-issued ID and proof of residence
is required when applying for a card. The proof of residence
should be a piece of mail received at that residence. Anyone
under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian with them to
sign for their card and to sign the computer policy.
